A bit of backstory: The day came when I almost sold this pickup truck. Twice. But a mechanic sold it to me nearly 20 years ago and, thanks to Kit Motley Reno, my dear mother who picked this truck up from the seller waaay back, it came with value buried within! I could not, and have not, sold it!
Back then, the mechanic seller intended (I maintain) to paint said pickup and profit much more. He had it sanded down with a fine grit sandpaper before my taking possession. The exterior clear coat was absent in all (rounded) corners of the ’94 Ford Ranger XL. Besides a minor cosmetic body filler project, the truck was in otherwise great shape!
The mechanic must have lost interest or the ROI was not justified, so one dull White Ranger became my first work vehicle back in the Summer of 2003!
No lusher, gloss or sheen has ever graced this work truck since; it has never had a detail or even a “Supreme Wash”!
That all changed this fall when I decided to “clean ‘er up” and dress her down for a re-paint or at least a decent hand wash.
Mold and Mildew had built up over the years in dark, dungeonous corners aka door jams, so I brought out a Heavy Duty Cleaner, not expecting much.
The immediate disappearance of all, ancient dirt, grime, mold and mildew without any resting time, and without abrasion immediately gave me pause. Holy Sh*t! The cleaner I used by CLR Pro, a sponsor indirectly of The Motley Guy, turned out to work exceptionally well in exterior portions of the truck also.
